Indications:
Eltrombopag is indicated for the treatment of chronic or persistent immune thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenia associated with hepatitis C infection, and severe aplastic anemia as an adjunct to immunosuppressive therapy, but is not indicated for myelodysplastic syndromes.

Dosage and Administration:
May be taken with or without food; for adult immune thrombocytopenia, the usual starting dose is 50 mg once daily (25 mg once daily is recommended for Asian patients or those with hepatic impairment); for children aged 1–5 years, the starting dose is 25 mg once daily; for hepatitis C–related thrombocytopenia, start at 25 mg once daily and adjust every 2 weeks; for severe aplastic anemia, dose is individualized based on age and body weight.

Adverse Reactions:
Common adverse reactions include anemia, nausea, fever, elevated transaminases, cough, fatigue, headache, and diarrhea.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25 °C, protected from light, and keep out of reach of children.
